AUD/USD regains lost ground

FXStreet (Barcelona) - AUD/USD is trading at 0.8550, down 0.00% on the day, having posted a daily high at 0.8553 and low at 0.8547.

AUD/USD is settled into a sideways drift after making a comeback post the drop from 0.8560, where the pair now oscillates, down to 0.8480. The greenback has been a poor performer at the end of the month ahead of the US Thanksgiving holiday due to disappointing US data in whole apart from durable goods rising 0.4% but this was due to military aircraft purchases.

The pair now resides some way away from the base of the three-year channel and sits in neutral territory short term within the broader bearish trend. Should there be activity to come in the Asian session, to the upside, resistance ahead sits between 0.8585 and 0.8605 and the three year base marks key support at 0.84 the figure.
