ECB's Constancio: EU banks to emerge stronger from review
FXStreet (Łódź) - Vice-President of the European Central Bank Vítor Constâncio said today in Brussels that the asset quality review of EU's top financial institutions should eliminate balance sheet uncertainty and strengthen the banks' position by the end of 2014. Still, he remarked that the action would not help release credit on its own.
Furthermore, the ECB policymaker suggested that EU exports have been affected by the economic slowdown experienced currently by emerging markets.
