New record in Wall Street, Europe posts gains

FXStreet (Córdoba) - US stocks are rising sharply on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 in record territory. The Dow Jones is rising 0.85%, the Nasdaq climbs 1.22% and the S&P 500 0.75%.

European markets finished with gains. Among country indexes, the UK FTSE 100 gained 0.88% while the Germany's Dax edged up 0.70% (despite weak employment data). The France’s Cac 40 rose 0.86%.

Regarding US economic data, construction spending rose in May 0.1%, below expectation of a 0.5% increase; the ISM index fell from 55.4% to 55.3% in June, analyst were expecting a modest increase.

Gold is flat so far for the day, currently trading at $1,328/oz after hitting during the Asian session 3-month highs at $1,333. Crude oil is falling modestly but holds above $105 a barrel.
